It is a statutory requirement, when a poll is to be taken, to give notice, as soon as practicable after Nomination Day, of the day on which and the hours during which the poll will be taken; the location of each polling station; the name, address and occupation of each candidate nominated for election as given in his nomination paper and the symbol so assigned.

The Elections and Boundaries Commission advises that the Revised List of Electors in respect of the Local Government Elections, 2019 has been posted for inspection at the same two (2) locations in each polling division where the Preliminary List was posted.

In accordance with Registration Rule 63 (3) an objection to the registration of a person whose name appears for the first time on the Revised List of Electors should be made no later than

The Election and Boundaries Commission wishes to remind persons eligible to be considered as Special Electors (Election Rule 59) for the Monday December 2, 2019 Local Government Elections that

MONDAY NOVEMBER 11, 2019 is the LAST DAY to submit applications

Application Forms are available at and may be returned to:

• The office of the respective Returning Officer
• ALL EBC Registration Area Offices and Sub-offices
• The Central Electoral Office, Scott House, 134-138 Frederick Street, Port of Spain

Reminder Application to Vote as Special Elector

In accordance with Election Rule (4) (1) of the Representation of the People Act, Chapter 2:01, the Returning Officer shall within two days after the receipt of the writ of election or within two days after he has been notified by the Chief Election Officer, whichever may be the sooner, and not less than twelve days clear before the day fixed by the writ as nomination day

1. publish in the Gazette and in at least one newspaper election notices in the form set out as Form No. 35 in the Prescribed Form Rules;
2. cause copies of the notices to be posted at his office and a such other places in the electoral district as he may deem necessary.

FAWLOCAL application to vote as special elector 2019

The public is hereby notified that Monday 11^th November, 2019 having been designated Nomination Day for the 2019 Local Government Elections, the date and time fixed for the Preliminary Examination of Nomination Papers is, Monday 4^th November, 2019 between the hours of 9: 00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Nomination Forms are available at the offices of the respective Returning Officers and at the EBC’s Central Electoral Office, Scott House, 134- 138 Frederick Street, Port of Spain.

Interested persons are kindly requested to make use of this opportunity offered to them at the offices of the Returning Officers for their respective electoral district, to minimize the likelihood of difficulties on Nomination Day.
