Press Release – 42 Candidates Vie in 2026 Tobago House of Assembly Elections
A total of forty-two (42) candidates will contest the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Elections scheduled for Monday 12th January 2026.
Four (4) political parties have submitted candidates for the election.
The distribution is as follows:

| Innovative Democratic Alliance (IDA) | 11 |
| People’s National Movement (PNM) | 15 |
| Tobago People’s Party (TPP) | 15 |
| Unity of The People | 1 |
The Commission confirms that Nomination Day proceedings were conducted smoothly and successfully in accordance with electoral procedures.
