NOTICE – Summary of Return of Election Expenses for the 2020 Parliamentary Elections
Persuant to Section 58 of the Representation of the People Act, Chapter 2:01, the Elections and Boundaries Commission is required to publish a summary of the return of election expenses in respect of the 2020 Parliamentary Elections.
Any returns or declarations, inclusive of any accompanying documentation sent in to the Chief Election Officer under sections 47, 52 and 53, shall be retained by the Chief Eelction Officer an shall at all reasonable times during the next two years after receipt, be open to inspection under the conditions stated in section 59 of the Representation of the People Act.

EBC launches new National Identification Card
The Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) launched a new styled National Identification Card on Monday, September 28, 2020. The new ID card is made of a polycarbonate substrate and incorporates a sophisticated array of security features to ensure multi-layered protection against the threat of counterfeit and fraud. The new card is being introduced in line with current developments in election management and will be introduced on a phased basis.

Temporary Closure of the EBC’s Siparia Registration Area Office
The public is advised that the EBC’s Siparia Registration Area Office will be temporarily closed on Tuesday 4th August, 2020.
All persons who applied to be so treated as Special Electors for the upcoming polls and identified the Siparia Registration Area Office to collect their special envelopes can collect at the San Fernando & Penal/Debe Registration Area Sub-Office on Tuesday 4th August, 2020 ONLY.

All persons who applied to be treated as Special Electors for this upcoming Parliamentary Elections can collect their Special Envelopes at the Registration Area Office specified on their application forms. These offices will be open for collection from Friday, July 31st, 2020 to Saturday, August 8th, 2020.
