Our Registration Office for Arima remains closed

The Elections and Boundaries Commission’s (EBC’s) Registration Area Office for Arima and Piarco will remain closed to the public on Thursday 6th October, 2022.

This Office was forced to close its doors to the public after being flooded as a result of the heavy rains yesterday. Clean up efforts and sanitization is presently underway to resume service as soon as possible.

Persons with confirmed appointments, who have been affected by these closures will be contacted to have their appointments rescheduled. Persons visiting this Office to collect identification cards or conduct any other transactions, are advised not to visit today.

The EBC apologizes for the inconvenience that this closure may have caused and will advise in a timely manner of the resumption of normal operations at the Registration Area Office for Arima and Piarco.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but some of our offices are closed

The Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) is advising of the TEMPORARY closure of three (3) of its Registration Area Offices, due to the inclement weather and other unforseen circumstances.

  • The Registration Area Office for Sangre Grande is closed today as a result of no electricity in the surrounding area;
  • The Registration Area Office for Arima  & Piarco was forced to close its doors due to flooding caused by the prevailing, inclement weather. We will advise of the resumption of normal operations at this Office as clean-up efforts are underway.
  • The Registration Area Office for Tunapuna was affected by the closure of the Tunapuna Administrative Building, which closed all business at noon, today.

We regret the inconvenience that these closures may have caused.

Now serving registrants of Arima & Piarco

Persons who are served by the Registration Area Office for Arima & Piarco and persons who reside in this Registration Area are advised that the Elections and Boundaries Commission, the EBC will establish a temporary Registration Area Office for Arima & Piarco at the Bon Air Gardens Community Centre, located on Emperor Boulevard, this Saturday 17th September and Sunday 18th September, 2022.

This temporary Registration Area Office will operate at the aforementioned location on the stated dates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a “walk-in” facility. NO APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED. 

Persons will be required to have their birth certificate (either the Blue OR polymer Birth Certificate will be accepted) and expired ID card.

If you have previously secured an appointment and want to take this opportunity to renew your expired ID card, you will be facilitated. We ask that you kindly walk with the Confirmation Receipt of your appoinemnt and present it when conduction your transaction.

This initiative is primarily for persons who need to renew their expired identification cards. Persons requiring other transactions can visit us on these days but will be re-directed to the Registration Office, Cor. Pro Queen & Robinson Streets to complete those transactions.

…and we’re back in Chaguanas and Tabaquite/Talparo!

The Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) will establish temporary Registration Area Offices for both  Chaguanas and Tabaquite/Talparo on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September, 2022.

These temporary Registration Offices will oeprate from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on these two days at the Registration Area Offices located at 47 Mulchan Seuchan Road, Chaguanas.

You will not need an appointment and yes, if you previously secured an appointment through our Online Portal you will be facilitated. Please provide your confirmation of appointment receipt when being attended to by EBC Staff on these day.

ALL TRANSACTIONS WILL BE FACILITATED. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY.

Persons who had previously made appointments can also conduct their transactions on these days and are asked to provide the confirmation receipt of appointment.

This temporary Registration Area Office for Couva will operate between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the aforementioned dates at the Registration Area Office for Couva, located at TECU Building, 80-82 Southern Main Road, Couva.

The Elections and Boundaries Commission will establish a temporary Registration Area Office for Siparia on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th August, 2022 at the Siparia Community Centre, located at the corner of Park and Gambal Streets, Siparia, to facilitate the renewal of expired National Identification Cards.

Persons who need to renew their expired National Identification Card, or persons whose ID card will soon expire* (* two months before the expiration on the identification card) can visit the Siparia Community Centre, located at the corner of Park and Gambal Streets, Siparia on the aforementioned dates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY, however persons will be required to walk with their ID card and their electronic Birth Certificate, this is EITHER the “blue” Birth Certificate or the polymer Birth Certificate.

ALL TRANSACTIONS WILL BE FACILITATED. NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY.

Persons who had previously made appointments can also conduct their transactions on these days and are asked to provide the confirmation receipt of appointment. Only persons who are served by the Registration Area Office for Point Fortin or who live in the Registration Area for Point Fortin can be accommodated on these days.

The Elections and Boundaries Commission will establish a temporary Registration Area Office for Tobago to facilitate the renewal of expired National Identification Cards.

Persons who need to renew their expired National Identification Card, or persons whose ID card will soon expire* (* two months before the expiration on the identification card) can visit any of the following venues at the advertised times. Only persons who are registered at the Registration Area Office for Tobago or persons who live in Tobago can be facilitated at this initiative.

ROXBOROUGH ADMINISTRATIVE COMPLEX – Thursday 11th August, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

CASTARA COMMUNITY CENTRE – Thursday 11th August, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

SHAW PARK COMPLEX – Friday 12th & Saturday 13th August, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
